The #1 Key to Living a Successful and Rewarding Life
Someone asked me recently that if I could teach my readers only one thing about how to live a successful and rewarding life, what exactly would that be? I have to admit that, at the time, I was caught a little off-guard, but as I began to ponder this question, I started to relate it back to my own children. If I could transfer (and make stick) just one tiny snippet of wisdom, one that they could fully grasp and one that would have the most profound impact on their futures, exactly what would I choose?
The more I thought about it, the more obvious the answer became. Regardless of what we dream of accomplishing in life, be it wanting to achieve perfect health, unlimited wealth or attracting the perfect mate, the key to achieving any of our heart’s desires is in fully comprehending the meaning behind this one simple statement:
“Make it a habit to feel great!”
Now, I realize that, to many of you, this may sound like a gross oversimplification of reality, but if you truly understand the concept behind this statement, you should soon come to realize just how valuable this piece of advice is.
Whether you like it or not and whether you believe it or not, the Laws of the Universe ensure that you attract what you think about into your life. It makes no difference to the Universe whether you actually want what you think about or not, the mere thoughts alone will attract them into your experience and the intensity of your emotions will help to determine the speed at which they are brought about.
You can try to deny the reality of these statements all you like, but doing so will not disprove any of these Laws. It will only serve to hinder your ability to master them. If you still have a hard time accepting these truths, the proof is readily available. All it takes is a little bit of research. Quantum physicists and other scientists are increasingly supporting and verifying their validity. These Laws are real and they are constantly in effect, 24 hours a day.
Now, suppose you’re talking to a friend who staunchly denies the existence of these Laws. It is important to then simply ask yourself just how happy this person is. Chances are great, that if he’s constantly disputing the Laws, he’s a lot less likely to be applying them successfully himself and hence not living anywhere near as fulfilling a life as he could be, but don’t make the mistake of letting him keep you from living a fulfilling life of your own.
This is why is it so absolutely crucial that you learn to take control of your thoughts and focus on things that are pleasing to you, that is, things that you want to attract into your life. Also, it is equally important that you focus on having an abundance of these things (evoking positive emotion) as opposed to focusing on the lack of these things (which would evoke negative emotion).
You can use your emotions as your guide. If you are in a positive state of mind, just know that you are currently attracting what you desire, but if you find yourself in a negative state of mind, then you can be assured you are attracting things that you do not want. This is why it is so vital to remain in control of your emotions and ensure that you feel great as often as is humanly possible.
Most people are convinced that their emotions are dependent on the people and the environment around them, but nothing could be further from the truth. You always have the ability to choose how you react to external stimuli. Your subconscious may offer up various automatic emotions in reaction to the world around you, but you ultimately, and without exception, have the ability to choose a better, more beneficial emotion, in any situation. I’m not saying it is always easy to do so, at times it can be incredibly difficult, but I cannot stress enough, just how important this is. If you’re unable to see the bright side of a particular situation, then simply acknowledge your feeling and then change your focus to a more pleasant experience. 
The good news is that the more you practise this, the easier it becomes. By keeping tabs on your emotions and constantly working to improve your state of mind, you will become more and more adept at maintaining a positive frame of mind, resulting in an upward spiral towards ultimate bliss and the fulfillment of your desires.
So, do more of what you love, appreciate what you already have and be grateful in advance for the wonderful life that lies ahead of you. Sit down and write out everything you want in life and focus on the things that are most important to you. Then, imagine you’ve already acquired or achieved these things, several times a day if at all possible. Your subconscious mind cannot differentiate that which is experienced versus that which is imagined. So, by bombarding your subconscious with positive images/experiences, you will gra
dually attract more and more of the things you love and less and less of the things you don’t. You are in complete control of your destiny…and now you hold the key.
“So, make it a habit to feel great!”
That is what I would tell my readers. That is what I do tell my children and that is what I would be happy to tell anyone else who cares to listen.

The Law of Attraction: Learn to Control It Before It Controls You
It continues to amaze me that, after all the publicity it's received since the movie "The Secret" was released, people still choose to ignore or deny that the Law of Attraction even exists. Well, I'm here to tell you that it most certainly does exist, that it never stops working and it shows absolutely no preference whatsoever in working for you or against you because it is a Law. Whether you like it or not, believe it or not or ignore it or not, it will always be there, non-stop, bringing you more and more of what you think about, what you believe to be true and what you expect.
Like the Law of Gravity, you can't turn it on or off, nor can you force it to work in your favour all of the time. You can't just flip a switch and proceed to walk off the ledge of a tall building. If you do, then I guarantee you that the Law of Gravity will not be working in your favour at that particular moment, and the Law of Attraction is no different. It is constantly in effect, 24/7, and it displays no preference for positive versus negative outcomes. This is why it is absolutely crucial that you get to know the Law of Attraction now and find out how to use it to your advantage.
Now, if you're completely satisfied with your life the way it is and can't think of a single thing that could be improved upon, then I salute you! You are already managing the Law of Attraction with great proficiency, whether you're even aware of it or not. If that is the case, then simply keep doing what you're doing; however, I doubt there would be many of us that would fall into this category and this is why it is absolutely imperative that we learn everything we can about it immediately. Rather than get stuck permanently in a humdrum life that we, one day, will look back upon in regret, we can take action now and start living life to the fullest. Armed with the proper knowledge we can make significant improvements in our lives. It's hard to believe that we can't learn this in school because it is so much more important and will have a much greater impact on our lives than any math or science course ever will!
Obviously, I can't teach you everything you need to know in one short article, but I can tell you this. If you want to acquire or achieve anything great in life, you, absolutely, must limit your exposure to negative influences! I cannot stress this enough!
Stop taking advice from people who don't possess the things you want or the achievements you strive for. This means friends, family, co-workers or anyone else you come into contact with. Even though their intentions are good, they obviously have no idea what it takes to acquire these things; otherwise, they'd already have them. If you're going to accept someone's advice, make sure it is someone who's already been where you want to go and done what you want to do and knows exactly what it takes to get there!
Also, you really do need to limit your exposure to the news. The media does nothing but spin a steady stream of negative news and tales of pain and suffering. Why? Because for some unknown reason, that is exactly what we humans have always craved. Studies have proven that a person's expectations can have a profound effect on the physical world, and that effect is compounded greatly when a large group of people share the same expectations. Is it any wonder why terrorism and crime rates continue to escalate? Is this what you want to attract into your life? Of course it isn't; unfortunately, what we think about most is what we inevitably attract, and when you have millions of people around the world all focusing on negative events, you get a downward spiral of ever-increasing fear, lack, crime and corruption.
So, if you want to attract great things into your life, then expose yourself to great stories and great environments and great people. Do what they do, think like they think and feel the way that they feel. This is how we initiate greatness in our lives. Limit the negativity as much as you possibly can. It won't be easy at first, but the more you do, the easier it will get. You can have an amazing life. You can master the Law of Attraction and you can write your own script…or you can just keep on doing what you're doing and getting what you're getting. Will you be content with maintaining the status quo for the rest of your life or will you strive for something better? The choice is yours and yours alone.

Limiting Beliefs: How to Prevent Them From Ruining Your Dreams
One of the main reasons people fail to manifest their desires when working with the Law of Attraction, is because they are either unaware of, or unable to combat, the limiting beliefs that are lurking within the confines of our subconscious minds. As an example, suppose my number one goal in life was to become President of a large corporation. I’d read all the books and taken all the courses I could find on the Law of Attraction. I did everything they suggested in order to make it happen. I wrote down all my goals and worked every day at getting one step closer to realizing them; however, deep down in my soul and in my subconscious mind, I had the limiting belief that “I was not important”. Not only did this belief exist, but, in actuality, it had been there for the majority of my life. The cold, hard truth is, that as long as I had this belief about myself, I would never become President of any large corporation simply because I believed I wasn’t important enough to do so. In all probability, the only chance I would have at achieving such a dream would be to first eliminate or, at least neutralize, this limiting belief.
Anytime we have difficulty manifesting a particular desire, more often than not, the root of the problem can be traced back to one or more limiting beliefs we have about ourselves that will continue to prevent our dreams from taking place. These beliefs may have been instilled in us at a very young age and then reinforced over time through similar and repetitive events. Hence, trying to eliminate them with a positive affirmation or visualization technique is simply bound for failure. We have to either neutralize the belief or eliminate it altogether. There are various ways of accomplishing this and in order to determine the most effective method, we need to take a closer look at the belief itself and how it originated.
As an example, let’s take a closer look at the sample we used above. In order to eliminate our belief that “I am not important”, we have to go way back and examine our past to try to determine where this belief got started. By doing so, we may discover that it all started at a very young age, when we would approach our parents, all excited about something we just had the show them, only to be repeatedly turned away with lines like, “not now, I’m on the phone” or “can’t you see I’m busy” or “sorry, but I have to feed your sister”. It’s easy to understand how an impressionable young child could arrive at the conclusion that he was simply not important in his parent’s eyes or anyone else’s for that matter. Without much ability to reason at such a young age, we simply accept our belief as fact and carry it with us in our subconscious minds throughout our lives. That is, unless we, as intelligent adults, look back and re-examine each of these limiting beliefs, utilizing our more advanced reasoning abilities in order to eliminate them once and for all.
Getting back to our example, as adults, we may now be able to reason that our parents were simply far too busy with work or with caring for our brothers and sisters to be able to give us their full attention every time we “required” it. Thus, it may be quite easy now to see that we actually formed this belief because we interpreted the situation incorrectly, thinking that we weren’t important when the truth of the matter was that our parents were simply too busy at the time. Coming to such a conclusion can have a profound effect on our belief systems because we realize that what we believed to be the truth was in actuality not the truth at all, but merely an incorrect interpretation made by a young child with very limited reasoning ability.
Now, it’s important to acknowledge that not all limiting beliefs will be this easy to counteract and that this is simply one way of doing so, but I think you’ll be surprised at just how many of our limiting beliefs can be neutralized in this manner. For the rest, we’ll have to examine alternative methods for accomplishing the same feat, but rest assured there are plenty of other, equally effective methods out there for doing just that. We will examine some of these in a future post.
